Golden selenite from Manitoba is a striking variety of selenite characterized by its warm, honey gold to amber tones. These highly sought after selenites are from an old collection that we recently acquired, they were collected by a geologist in the 80’s from the classic Canadian locality. Red River selenite fluoresces under both shortwave and longwave UV light. It displays phosphorescence for a short period after the UV light is turned off.
