This smoky quartz crystal from the Erongo Mountains features a rare and visually striking combination of both Hyalite Opal and Black Tourmaline (schorl). Hyalite Opal is a transparent to translucent form of opal that exhibits a glassy luster and is known for its bright green fluorescence under ultraviolet (UV) light. The sharp smoky quartz faces, glowing green hyalite opal, and dark tourmaline crystals make for an aesthetic trio that is hard to find!

A 255nm shortwave UV light is recommended for Hyalite Opal to display optimal fluorescence as shown in the photos. Different wavelengths may produce a weaker glow.
