Kinoite from Arizona is a striking copper silicate mineral best known for its vivid, electric blue color and association with other colorful secondary minerals. It is most famously found at the Christmas Mine in Gila County, where it occurs as small, glassy crystals on a contrasting matrix. Though the crystals are typically small, their intense color and brilliant luster make them highly desirable to collectors. Kinoite is named after Jesuit missionary Eusebio Kino and remains a rare but visually captivating mineral, found almost exclusively in a few Arizona copper deposits.
