Okorusu Phantom Fluorite (Namibia) | cubic fluorite, purple fluorite, crystals, mineral specimen

This cluster of Fluorite from Okorusu is incredibly lustrous! It it has intensely dark magenta zoning at the core of the crystals, changing into blue-green, then into dark purple zoning, and finishing with a glassy colourless exterior. This zoning is present on all of the crystals, but is easier to see on areas that protrude from the main crystal cluster. Strong backlighting is needed to see the colors in their prime. Save for a few nicks, there is very little damage to the piece. An interesting specimen from this world famous locality!

Fluorite is best displayed in strong LED lighting, and shows optimal vibrancy when backlit as shown in the photos. Keep out of direct sunlight, as fluorite is UV sensitive.
