Numerous well developed, cherry red, tapering crystals of Rhodochrosite lining a glittering vug in typical matrix. This is a quite exceptional specimen from famous Peruvian locale Uchucchacua Mine with sharp and lustrous scalenohedrons. The luscious red crystals illuminate vibrantly with minimal lighting. They are well terminated, gemmy and undamaged, especially in the center of the piece. In the periphery there are the usual incomplete crystals. A fantastic example from this classic locale!
