This Ruby on Matrix from Tanzania features vibrant red ruby crystals and striking blue kyanite, naturally embedded in their host rock. The contrast between the lustrous rubies, vibrant blue kyanite, and the surrounding matrix gives each specimen a dramatic appearance. Winza rubies are characterized by lilac, to a magenta red ruby color with intense saturation. The crystals are often attractively multi-colored and zoned.
