Lattice quartz, also known as gitter quartz, is a variety of quartz characterized by crystals grown in an interlocking, lattice-like pattern, often as epitactic intergrowths with feldspar. In some instances, the quartz completely replaces the feldspar, resulting in pseudomorphs where the original feldspar’s shape is retained but is now composed entirely of quartz.
