Collection: Moldavite

Moldavite is a natural glass (tektite) formed about 15 million years ago during the Ries impact event in present-day Germany, when a meteorite strike melted terrestrial rock and ejected it into the atmosphere before cooling and mostly falling across what is now the Czech Republic. It is composed primarily of silica-rich glass with characteristic flow textures, vesicles, and surface etching from atmospheric transport and weathering over time. Its green color results from trace elements and the conditions of rapid cooling during formation. Browse our selection of genuine moldavite to find the perfect piece for your collection.
