Shangaan amethyst scepters are distinctive quartz crystals found in the Chibuku Mine area of Zimbabwe, named after the local Shangaan people. These specimens are characterized by scepter formations, where a larger amethyst crystal cap grows atop a thinner quartz stem. Shangaan scepters are notable for their sharp terminations, skeletal growth features, and occasional phantoms.
