Brandberg Amethyst Enhydro (Namibia) | natural amethyst crystal, mineral specimen

The Brandberg area of Namibia has produced an abundance of amethyst in a wide variety of styles, the most notable of which have glassy clarity and intense colour. This fine small cabinet piece from the locality consists of an incredibly sharp and lustrous amethyst crystal, perched on a smaller smoky quartz crystal. The amethyst has a deep purple color that is concentrated within the center of the crystal, and blends outwards to a water clear exterior. The large amethyst crystal features two easily visible moving liquid inclusions, often referred to as "enhydro bubbles". A truly striking and remarkable piece!
