Phosphophyllite is among the rarest and most highly prized minerals one can collect, celebrated for its delicate, translucent sea-green color and striking vitreous luster. Composed of hydrated zinc phosphate, it forms fragile, well defined crystals typically found in phosphate rich hydrothermal environments. Classic specimens are famously scarce, and material from the Kushk Mine has produced some exquisite examples- this piece is no exception. It features a singular, well terminated and richly saturated seafoam-green point with a milky translucency. The termination is made up of several small crystal faces, which reflect light from different angles. The piece is mounted on an acrylic base for display. Thumbnail specimens of this quality are extraordinarily uncommon on the market, making this a truly special find.
