This mineral is a rare hydrated calcium phosphate composed of Ca, U, phosphorus, oxygen, and hydrogen. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic system and forms thin to thick tabular crystals with perfect cleavage. Its color ranges from yellow and greenish-yellow to pale green, with a pearly to waxy luster commonly visible on cleavage surfaces. This mineral has a strong fluorescent reaction, typically glowing a bright green under UV light. It commonly occurs as delicate tabular crystals or thin crusts coating matrix.
