Cerussite (Tsumeb, Namibia) | snowflake cerussite crystal, mineral specimen

This is a fine matrix cluster of intergrown cerussite crystals showing the reticulated twinning pattern from the Tsumeb Mine. Reticulated cerussite is highly sought after, and is sometimes referred to as "snowflake cerussite". This is an excellent miniature that comes from an older collection. Cerussite is soft, so unfortunately few pieces have no damage. The lustrous, slightly beige-colored crystals have fine aesthetics, with a few dings throughout the piece. These glassy crystals are perched on a black matrix, with small white balls of an unknown mineral.
