Fluorite on quartz from the Erongo Region, Namibia, represents a classic association from the alkaline granitic complexes of the Erongo Mountains. Fluorite typically occurs as well-formed cubic crystals, commonly transparent to translucent and ranging from colorless to green or purple, depending on trace element content and radiation exposure. The crystals are frequently perched on or intergrown with prismatic quartz, which may appear as clear, milky, or smoky hexagonal crystals.
