Orange hessonite garnet from the Mana Mine, Pakistan, is renowned for its rich cinnamon-orange to honey-brown coloration, excellent luster, and well-formed crystals. Occurring within a calc-silicate skarn environment, these grossular garnets formed through metasomatic processes and are commonly associated with diopside and quartz. The locality is famous among mineral collectors for producing exceptionally large, aesthetic hessonite specimens, often displaying sharp crystal faces, attractive translucency, and classic skarn matrix associations that distinguish them from the pegmatite-hosted gem minerals for which Pakistan is also well known.
