Hyalite opal on smoky quartz from the Erongo Mountains is a rare and visually striking combination that blends the earthy depth of smoky quartz with the glowing, alien-like quality of fluorescent hyalite opal. This specimen features the uncommon Tessin Habit, which is a distinctive crystal formation characterized by its elongated, tapered shape, where all six prism faces converge smoothly into the termination. This habit often results in crystals that resemble laser wands, with minimal distinction between the body and the termination faces.
