Okorusu fluorite from Namibia is renowned for its exceptional crystal quality, vivid coloration, and distinctive internal zoning. It commonly forms sharp, well-developed cubic to cuboctahedral crystals, often occurring in attractive clusters and intergrowths with excellent luster and translucency. Colors are remarkably diverse, ranging from vivid green and blue to purple, yellow, and colorless, with striking combinations of contrasting colors frequently occurring within the same crystal. This Fluorite comes from the "honey pocket", which was unearthed on December 7th, 2023 at Okorusu’s C-pit. Fluorite from this pocket has fantastic lustre and golden yellow color, with a dark centre that often has shades of blue and purple when viewed in a cross section. It typically exhibits excellent contrast of the two colors, with an opaque mass in the center, surrounded by translucent crystals.
