Phosphophyllite is among the rarest and most highly prized minerals, known for its delicate, translucent sea-green color and striking vitreous luster. Composed of hydrated zinc phosphate, it forms fragile, well defined crystals that are typically found in phosphate rich hydrothermal deposits. Bolivia produces some of the finest crystals, and this piece is no exception. It features a singular, sharply terminated, seafoam green point with excellent clarity. A small cluster of beige matrix accompanies the side, creating an incredibly aesthetic thumbnail specimen. Pieces of this quality seldom surface on the market!
