Bunker Hill pyromorphite, from the historic Bunker Hill Mine in Kellogg, Idaho, is among the most celebrated examples of the species. Renowned for its brilliant color and crystal form, this locality produced pyromorphite in vivid shades of apple green, yellow-green, and occasionally orange or brown, often forming lustrous hexagonal prisms. Specimens from Bunker Hill are prized for their exceptional brightness and density of crystal coverage, with many considered world-class. Mining ceased decades ago, making these pieces increasingly rare and highly sought after by collectors as classic representatives of American mineralogy.
