Hollandite quartz (often called “spider quartz”) from Madagascar is a striking and unusual variety of quartz distinguished by the presence of radiating, starburst-like inclusions of hollandite within clear to milky white quartz. Hollandite is a barium manganese oxide mineral, and its acicular crystals form intricate black to dark brown sprays that resemble spiders or fireworks frozen in stone. Please use the size chart in the photos and text below as a reference to make your selection. You will receive ONE (1) hollandite quartz selected at random in your chosen size, and number of stars- colors, patterns, and shapes vary. Choose from the following sizes:
XS: 1 - 1.5 Cm / 0.4 - 0.59 inch
Small: 1.5 - 2.5 Cm / 0.6 - 1 inch
Medium: 2.5- 3 Cm / 1 - 1.2 inch
Large: 3 - 4 Cm / 1.2 - 1.6 inch

Shapes, sizes, number of stars, clarity, and colour of the points vary. Size, detail, darkness, clarity, and placement of the stars varies. The specimen you receive will be similar to the stones pictured, and will have its own unique traits. Not all tips are terminated.
