Each specimen showcases the distinct characteristics that make vayrynenite so special: You’ll find a beautiful variety in texture and tone - from smooth, glassy surfaces to rich, velvety finishes, all in varying shades of pink to salmon-orange. No two are alike! Each crystal has its own unique form and naturally etched surface detail.
**A Grade** Vayrynenite features translucent crystals with good color in a range of natural shapes, shades, and surface textures. Minor abrasions may be present due to the mining and handling process, but overall these pieces retain excellent structure and aesthetic appeal.
**B Grade** Vayrynenite may show more noticeable imperfections such as surface fractures, pale coloration, lack of striated surface, and opaqueness. These pieces are still genuine but have less aesthetic appeal.
Gems range from 3mm - 11mm on average. An exact measurement guide cannot be provided, because vayrynenite is sold by weight in carats (ct). Please note that the smaller sizes are extremely petite, we would recommend checking what 3mm looks like on a ruler before purchasing. (conversion: 1 inch = 25mm)

Väyrynenite is an incredibly rare and striking phosphate mineral first discovered in Finland, but it is also found in the pegmatite deposits of Pakistan, which produce some of the finest gem-quality specimens. In Pakistan, väyrynenite typically forms in vivid shades of pink to reddish-orange, often with a glassy to pearly luster that makes it highly desirable among collectors. This mineral is unbelievably rare in larger sizes, and prices are usually extremely high.
