Uranocircite is a rare hydrated barium phosphate mineral composed of Ba, U, phosphorus, oxygen, and hydrogen. It crystallizes in the tetragonal system and typically forms thin, tabular crystals with perfect cleavage. Its color ranges from yellow to yellow-green, and it has a characteristic pearly luster. Uranocircite has a strong fluorescent reaction, glowing a bright, saturated green under most wavelengths of UV light. Uranocircite commonly occurs as delicate tabular crystals or aggregates, with its vivid yellow coloration and distinctive platy habit making it an especially recognizable mineral.
